Our alliance addresses current challenges and aims to position Europe as a leader in higher education through innovation and joint degree programmes. We align our strategies with EU priorities, boosting competitiveness, fostering global cooperation, and promoting a shared European identity, as outlined in the European Council conclusions and the European Strategy for Universities.

A key focus for Europe University Ivy Union is our collaboration with institutions in Ukraine, supporting their integration into the European education space. Furthermore, we are actively building partnerships with African institutions, addressing regional challenges and supporting sustainable development.

Europe University Ivy Union echoes the sentiments of Vanessa Debiais-Sainton, who emphasised the importance of European universities collectively surpassing global competitors by sharing resources, equipment, and data. We recognise the importance of private-sector partnerships and the integration of institutions from the Western Balkans.

Recognising the critical role of skills development, we acknowledge the announcement that the new Vice-President for People, Skills, and Preparedness will oversee the EUAs, signifying a strategic commitment to collaboration and addressing the evolving needs of higher education in Europe.
